​​​​​​​​​​​​Hello I'm Emma, and I am the founder of Nightingale Singing School in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. I have been a professional singer and singing teacher for 10 years, specialising in Musical Theatre, Performance Technique, Classical, and Crossover styles. 

​

I have been trained in Musical Theatre at The London College of Music (BAhons), and Music Performance at the Leeds College of Music (PGdip) specialising in Voice Studies. I have also had CPD training with vocal practitioners Vocal Process, and I am also a certified Vocal Health First Aider with Vocal Health Education. This means that I can guide and support voice users who have vocal health concerns and incorporate vocal health practises in my teaching for all my students. 

​

I became a singing teacher because I love to help people discover the full capacity of their unique voices.  I'd describe myself as more of a mentor then a 'traditional' teacher, because I like to guide and support my students in a holistic way towards reaching their singing goals, as well as equipping them with the correct techniques and theoretical, anatomical knowledge.

Emma holds an enhanced DBS and is a member of ISM (Incorporated Society of Musicians), AOTOS (Association of Teachers of Singing), The Singing For Health Network, and is a registered LCM Singing Teacher.
